Without cheese, macaroni would have no friends, and humans would never know what the moon tastes like. Celebrate curd culture with today's Groupon: for $10, you get $20 worth of artisan cheese, soup mixes, and pizzas at Casa Anna Cheese Store in Fond du Lac. The dedicated dairy experts at Casa Anna Cheese Store curate a mouthwatering collection of more than 130 varieties of cheese, as well as savory soup mixes, tasty spreads, fresh-baked pizzas, and Wisconsin souvenirs. Casa Anna celebrates the state's second proudest legacy—after its claim as Don Ameche’s birthplace—with a vast selection of fine cheeses, including cheddars both mild ($4.30/lb) and aged 10 years ($14.95/lb), Park Cheese provolone and squeaky fresh curds ($5.60/lb.). In addition to serving up delicious wedges of local favorites, the passionate dariymongers dish out tasty imported cheeses, such as a peccorino romano or parmesan reggino. Soup mixes ($6) satisfy hankerings for warm, cozy meals, and one-topping take-and-bake pizzas ($5 for 12", $7.75 for 16") delight appetites with a generous overlay of homemade cheese.

Casa Anna Cheese Store

Casa Anna Cheese Store is arguably Wisconsin’s cheese epicenter. Consider: the shop is situated inside the historic Park Cheese factory, which has produced italian cheeses for more than 70 years. Store shelves sag with the weight of more than 130 types of cheese, including cheese curds, aged cheddar, and smoked gouda. And cheesehead paraphernalia is sprinkled throughout the shop, paying tribute to a cheese-based economy rivaled only by the moon's. It’s all part of owners Lewis and Cindy Blank's mission to support and showcase local cheese artisans. In addition to stocking blocks of cheese, they also assemble take-and-bake pizzas loaded with layers of the Dairy Land's best.
