Chuck & Buck Cones 'N Cups
Joshua, the owner of Chuck & Buck Cones 'N Cups, originally moved his family to North Carolina to enjoy the slower-paced, Southern way of living. It makes sense, then, that his ice cream shop would also hearken back to a simpler time. Here, the sweet treats are all homemade in the old-fashioned way. That includes the ice creams, which come in a rotating list of flavors such as cake batter, butter pecan, rocky road, and pistachio cherry. It also includes the shop's waffle cones and the baked goods lining its pastry case: cupcakes, chocolate ganache, and slices of fresh coconut cake.
There is one thing setting Chuck & Buck's apart from the ice cream shoppes of yesterday, though. Because the crew wants everyone to be able to enjoy their desserts, they take great pains to protect those with nut sensitivities. That means keeping any ice creams made with nuts in a completely separate dipping container, and using a different set of ice cream scoops to avoid cross-contamination.
