The Donkey Show
The Show: take A Midsummer Night’s Dream and swap out the moon for a disco ball, the fairies for feathered divas, and the mechanicals for scantily clad hunks in roller skates, then invite the audience on-stage for a dance party
The Director: A.R.T.’s Tony-winning artistic director, Diane Paulus premiered The Donkey Show off-Broadway in 1999, and its been playing at the OBERON every Saturday since its revival in 2009
The Stage: besides being named after one of the principle troublemaking fairies in this show, OBERON is known for its slightly off-kilter event schedule that can include beat poets, burlesque dancers, and human statues
