After welcoming you into the studio, he introduces the basic terms and tools of glassblowing, including the marver: a polished piece of metal used to shape the glass. Everyone then sculpts a glass/tumbler to take home.

Your Host

Benjamin Silver Benjamin Silver

After his stint in the Navy, Benjamin Silver traveled the country in search of a passion—with no clue what it would be or where to find it. Yet one experience influenced him more than any other: a class at the Eugene Glass School. He soon moved to the area to master the art of glassblowing, and he has further perfected his skills as the owner of Bendini Glass since 2007.
