Music can soothe one’s fiery temper, propel a rousing dance, or distract a roommate long enough so you can sell his television at a pawnshop. Experience the stunning power of sound with today's Groupon: for $37, you get two general-admission tickets to "Name That Tune Live!" at the Imperial Palace Las Vegas (an $80.08 value).
Hosted by local celebrities Zowie Bowie and Marley Taylor, "Name That Tune Live!" invites 100 audience members to test their knowledge of popular songs during an engaging, fast-paced afternoon game show. Each round of "Name That Tune Live!" culls melodies from myriad sources, including classic-rock hits, current chart toppers, Broadway show tunes, and Benedictine monk chants.
Contestants who accurately identify tunes in the initial session move on to a subsequent round and then to the semifinals to face four other challengers in pinpointing as many songs as they can during a 30-second scramble of 10 tunes. The winner tackles the final round, attempting to correctly identify15 tracks and their singer's favorite kazoo solo in 60 seconds for the grand prize of a car, cruise, or $10,000 in cash.
