The Scouting Report
In the final two home games of the regular season, the Pirates will look to sew up their fifth playoff berth in six years in front of a raucous crowd at Cumberland County Civic Center. After 59 games, the Pirates are in a heated territorial dispute with the Providence Bruins for a spot atop the standings in the American Hockey League’s Atlantic Division. The divisional title may be up for grabs in the league’s final games, and the Pirates can seize it behind the golden stick of center Alexandre Bolduc, who has racked up 21 goals and 23 assists in 48 games for 44 total points—20th overall in the AHL. Left wingman Rob Klinkhammer has proven a formidable complementary force on offense, garnering 14 goals and 30 assists for guiding old ladies across the ice.
Though this merchant sometimes offers a discounted price online, the deal is still the best deal available.
Due to security restrictions, G-Passes must be printed out and presented in person at the event. They cannot be redeemed through the mobile app.
The top minor-league affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes, the Portland Pirates regale Maine’s hockey fans with swift stick handling and board-rattling checks. Competitors in the Atlantic Division of American Hockey League’s Eastern Conference, the Pirates won their only AHL postseason title in 1993, when Olaf Kolzig was named playoff MVP for his defense in front of the net and his solid-gold heart. As hockey fans watch the action on the ice below, the Pirates’ mascot, Salty Pete, helps keep enthusiasm high by patrolling the cozy confines of Cumberland County Civic Center.
