Most nights, Tommy Wind Theater’s crimson curtains lift to reveal the magical and musical comedy stylings of its eponymous illusionist. But on Sunday nights, Wind cedes the spotlight to Vinnie Favorito and a lineup of comics from all around the country. Having headlined such iconic spots as the Improv and the Comedy Store, Favorito splits sides with a no-holds-barred style that’s as funny as it is politically incorrect.
For the Standup Sunday series, Favorito utilizes the comedic wisdom from his own career to curate a different show every week. He sources comics from Las Vegas and beyond and brings them to the Tommy Wind stage for 90 knee-slapping minutes. Some performers have familiar faces—they’ve headlined tours and starred in TV specials. Others, however, are rising stars set to take over stadiums and screens across America.
