Historic Latta Plantation

History comes alive each and every day at the Historic Latta Plantation. The painstakingly-preserved cotton plantation was first built in 1800, and now exists to educate school groups and other visitors about what life was like more than 200 years ago. Guests are welcome to take guided tours of the home, and self-guided tours of the grounds year-round, where they'll have the opportunity to encounter livestock, watch cotton being grown and harvested, or watch beekeeping demonstrations. But the site also plays host to various events throughout the year, including Civil War reenactments and day camps.

My family and I had a great time. We enjoyed it a lot.

Volunteers did a great job! Loved all the different scenes. Walking through the woods was fun and going through lots of historic buildings was great as well. The campfires, torch lights, and jack-o-lanterns really set the creepy mood. It was nice to see authentic looking costumes (instead of just generic ones you see at other haunt walks). We didn't even have to wait very long to get a tour (and we went on Saturday!). We will definitely be back next year and recommending it to our friends. I hope you guys do Groupon for it again, it was a great deal!
