About Hugo's on the Hill
Hugo's on the Hill is neither an ordinary restaurant nor a typical bowling alley; rather, it caters to both diners and bowlers who crave an upscale experience. On the dining side, guests in the 50-seat dining room or out on the patio split small plates of New American cuisine, ranging from Alaskan crab cakes to wings smoked in house and glazed with a huckleberry sauce. They also can opt for larger entrees, such as kobe-beef burgers, halibut, and hand-tossed pizzas. A full bar's worth of beers and cocktails complements the food.
On the bowling side sit 16 refurbished lanes that feature vintage leather couches, high-tech TVs, and projection screens. Open till midnight most days and 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, Hugo's allows players to aim for strikes into the wee hours, first under regular lighting and then under the black lights and pumping music of cosmic bowling. The nearby game room also entertains with two billiards tables, arcade games, pinball, and skee-ball.
And unlike other highfalutin bowling lounges and adults-only ball pits, Hugo's welcomes all ages.
