The tour was great, but scheduling was very unorganized and frustrating. There is no was to contact anyone at the Tour company unless its via phone and my group did not get phone calls returned and they did not communicate in their business so we had mixed responses to our scheduling issues.

The tour was a great way to learn more about Cincinnati's brewery history as it was not only educational, but fun. Our guide, Alex was knowledgeable and kept the group lighthearted even though the heat was well above 90 degrees. We recommend you request Alex if possible. Although we are Cincinnati natives, we learned things we never knew about the Over-the-Rhine area and its early German immigrants. Who knew that Cincinnati at one time had 36 craft breweries and produced over 30 million gallons of beer or that the Cincinnati Symphony started out in a German beer garden in Over-the-Rhine? The tour took us places that it would be difficult to access any other way--like the St. Francis Seraph Church's hidden courtyard garden (beautiful!) and its basement crypt, and the underground storage and cooling tunnels used by Kaufman Brewery to cool their lager. Including the tasting at Moerlein Brewery, the tour lasted well over the 2 1/2 hours. Recommend wearing comfortable shoes and clothing.

Queen City is Haunted Tour

Most cities take pride in their past, preserving their historic triumphs and unusual claims to fame. The more macabre facets of municipal history, however, can take some digging to uncover. American Legacy Tours' Queen City is Haunted walking tours take the work out of supernatural explorations of Cincinnati. During each walk, expert guides expound on the murders and deaths of yesteryear, taking their charges through haunted buildings, spooky burial grounds, and the spot where they finally buried their dream of dancing. Historical episodes of interest include Cincinnati's Murder College, the phantoms that infest Music Hall, and the tale of the Tri-State area's most prolific killer.

About American Legacy Tours

Initially designed as a temporary tour and fundraiser for student travel, American Legacy Tours began humbly as the Newport Gangster Tour in 2008. When met with overwhelming success, the friends who had embarked on what they thought was a temporary project decided to take root and expand, creating American Legacy Tours in 2010.

Their first order of business as an official company was to introduce the Queen City Underground Tour, an exploration of the city's underground tunnels and history as a rabbit village. Today, a cadre of educated guides leads 10 different area walking tours, including the Covington Is Haunted Tour, an examination of the controversy, spirits, and shadowy history of this Northern Kentucky neighborhood, as well as seasonal Spirit of Christmas Tours and Newport Is Haunted Tours held around Halloween.
