Second Course: Introduction to Sparkling Wine
Sparkling wines from around the world may be fun and festive, but they are also one of the best beverages to pair and have on hand as an everyday wine. Students learn about the world of sparkling wine, sampling several.
Second Course: Wine & Cheese Pairing Class
This popular two-hour class includes a flight of five very different wines and five very different cheeses provided by Orrman’s Cheese Shop in Charlotte. The class covers the styles of cheese, how its made, and focuses on why certain wines work so well with different types of cheese. Instructors also provide tips on general food and wine pairing guidelines as well as how to build a cheese board or charcuterie plate. Participants receive a booklet filled with information so they can take home what they’ve learned.

The founders of the Raleigh Wine Shop put their wine and food expertise to good use, rounding up collectible wines as well as recommending great value wines in the Sir Walt's Six-Pack.
