Barbecue is a distinctly American art form, much like jazz music and feigning an understanding of jazz music. Discuss the smoky notes with this Groupon.

RyMac’s Rub and Pub, which recently dominated at the 12th Annual Sertoma Wingapalooza, presents a menu stuffed with dishes such as dry-rubbed wings (Mother Cluckers), a 12-ounce rib-eye steak, and a boneless rack of pork ribs. The beverage menu features brews such as 16-ounce drafts of Blue Moon and cans of Fat Tire. Specialty pizzas include traditional flavors such as cheese, pepperoni and sausage as well as pairings of pulled chicken with buffalo sauce, the turkey club with ranch, turkey and bacon, pulled BBQ pork with red onion, and Caribbean jerk burnt ends with orange plum sauce.<p>

RyMac's Rub and Pub

RyMac's Rub and Pub charms diners with its 1920s-inspired ambience. The dining room's cobbled interior imitates period buildings, with false doors and windows inlaid with portraits that depict life in bygone decades. The flavor of the epoch even finds expression in menu items, which fuse the recipes and ingredients of various cultures into dishes that can only be called American, such as the Irish nachos or the light bulb sandwich. The bar, also encased in stone, brazenly snubs prohibition with nine different tap beers at any given time.

Customer Reviews

Enjoyed the food and surroundings. It brings us downtown to see what is being improved. Also enjoying music outside in park.
