Sailors learn to be experts at knot tying, from securing the vessel with a tight anchor hitch to securing the captain after he succumbs to madness and tries to eat his own hook hand. This Groupon is a mutinous bounty.

Those embarking on the three-hour pirate adventure board a Zodiac boat and sail out to an anchored pirate ship and inflatable island, where they can buy snacks, enjoy brews they brought themselves, and battle one another with inflatable swords. During the party, adventurers again board the Zodiac and search for treasure—not only doubloons, but for vouchers for Scovare and local restaurants.
The 90-minute private sailing charter transports up to six passengers to their destination of choice. Groups can bring along their favorite foods and beverages, and the USCG–licensed captain may share interesting facts about the sights as requested.
Those at the three-hour, BYOB pirate dinner board the Zodiac and sail out to the pirate island for a meal of luau-style teriyaki chicken, beef, macaroni salad, and desserts.
Scovare Expeditions Inc.
With more than 25 years of maritime experience, Shane St. Clair captains Scovare Expeditions' fleet of sailboats, unveiling the windblown channels of the Willamette River to budding sailors and sightseeing passengers. During sailing tours, passengers can bob across the river while taking in the views of the volcanic caldera of Elk Rock Island or feast on three-course meals as the sails fill up with wind like a balloon ruining its dinner. A new Cape Cod Catboat available for charter takes tours, classes, and small dinners on a glide, and a sleek Aquarius sailboat keeps guests boating in style. Those interested in learning the ropes can sign up for sailing lessons, where savvy instructors teach novices how to command the helm, guide the lines, and barter with miserly seagulls.
