South Side Riders
For all that South Side Riders does for people—from lessons to trail rides to children's pony parties—it's their horses that benefit the most. The saddle club rescues its horses from less-than-ideal situations across the state and trains them to become gentle, friendly animals that can fulfill the role of a riding companion or a model for saddle fashion shows. The noble steeds carry riders during lessons as well as trail rides, which either follow a path along neighboring streets on the Urban Ride or traverse acres of trails through Boundary Waters park.
