About Horse Sense Riding School
Horse Sense Riding School works with rescued and rehabilitated horses. Every horse at the school, though, has a purpose thanks to founder Kat Barrett. A lifetime rider, Kat opened Horse Sense in 2012 and began giving new life to second-chance horses. Many of the school's horses arrive needing physical and emotional rehab following a severe injury or trauma.
Once they've completed rehabilitation, however, Horse Sense's four-legged survivors are allowed to truly shine when they're paired off with students. They anchor the school's various programs, which focus especially on horsemanship education for beginners. The school offers a wide range of lesson types and works with riders of all ages.
