A Chat with Vazquez Vocal Studio
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Thanks to my teaching experience in public schools (kindergarten to high school) and one-on-one private lessons (all ages), my time is very well managed during the 45-minute and/or one-hour lessons. I give my full attention to the specific student’s learning style and expect an improvement after each lesson is completed. Lessons are offered in English or Spanish.
Do you provide any materials? What should your students expect to bring?
I provide all materials. It is recommended to use a recording device (a smart phone works great!) and a folder to keep all the materials given in order.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
My passion for music education started when I realized the relationship between music performance and daily/academic activities. Adding music to an activity always has a positive result. I am a classical singer and I appreciate every style of music, which allows me to explore and explain the different approaches when teaching Voice or Piano.
What do you love most about your job?
I have the honor to listen to unique voices, and they come to me to get them polished. It is truly a blessing to guide a singer to their goal of discovering their own instrument and share those valuable moments together. For piano students, I really love the beginning stages when they are learning about the instrument. Experimenting with sounds while learning how the notes are named and organized is always a joy to explain to beginners.
