  • Natural Pawz
Creating a fun and festive environment that dazzles wide-eyed youngsters, Snip-its takes the stress out of maintaining the locks of jittery tykes. A kid-friendly staff maintains manes while ensuring safety?which is of paramount concern?by providing chairs especially designed for miniature adults. During the cut, melted crayons and various knickknacks are snipped away from tussled noodle nests, leaving hairs as fresh as the day they were born. While the follicular wreckage is brushed off, children can play with a bounty of activities and games. With so much to keep young eyes occupied, the atmosphere almost feels like that inside the house that Ruth built?Disneyland.

  • Pooch Pad
The Pooch Pad is a 6,000-square-foot pet resort with a staff that accommodates visiting pups in spacious cageless suites designed to emulate life at home. With space enough for two tail-waggers, each executive suite is equipped with comfortable bedding, decorative artwork, and a Bluetooth earpiece for international barking conferences. Playtime each day at the indoor park with rubber flooring gives dogs the opportunity to stretch their paws among their peers, while soothing music pours out of speakers throughout the facility to elicit sweet, slobbery dreams. Going to great lengths to preserve pet safety, The Pooch Pad's fire-detection units and monitored security systems ensure that no pooch bakes a MilkBone casserole for more than four hours. Larger midrise suites are available for upgrade, as well as nine location-themed Presidential suites that are replete with flat-screen televisions and webcam options for pet owners to check on their pups.

  • Pup-A-Palooza
If you can't already tell by the name, Pup-A-Palooza is dedicated to one thing: the well-being of your pup. At the self-service wash station, owners can wash and fluff dog coats, a much easier alternative than training pooches to run through the neighbor's sprinkler on command. Owners, meanwhile, can browse the aisles of pet accoutrements, which range from gourmet treats to custom-made beds and gleaming dog bowls adorned with fleurs de lis or spikes.

  • Rose-Rich Veterinary Clinic
Rose-Rich Veterinary Clinic expanded its pet-care services with the opening of its 10,000-square-foot facility in 2010. Cat condos built into a bay window, separate checkup, surgery, and treatment rooms, an isolation ward, and eight themed luxury dog suites are among the new amenities at the clinic, which first started serving the community’s furry friends nearly 50 years ago. The facility also makes room for six veterinarians and an animal-care team that keeps boarded pets fed, exercised, and up-to-date on global news. For all that’s changed and improved with the recent expansion, much has stayed the same. Dr. Charles McDonald, who founded the practice back in 1964, is still a part of the medical team—now he specializes in large-animal care—and Dr. Tucker Robinson, who joined Dr. McDonald in 1966 as a young Texas A&M grad, is still there, too, looking after the smaller patients.
