CAA Four Diamond Hotel with Abundant Niagara Falls Views
Niagara Falls crashes onto craggy rocks across the river from the Sheraton On The Falls hotel, the latest in a series of hotels occupying this one-of-a-kind riverside property. Nineteenth-century visitors could have stayed at the luxurious Clifton House, which housed Confederate soldiers stationed in Canada during the American Civil War. The Clifton eventually went up in flames, but Sheraton acquired the land and opened its own hotel on the site in 1966. A renovation in 2000 updated and expanded the hotel to its current height of 22 stories, but its biggest draw remains the unparalleled waterfall views guests have enjoyed for nearly two centuries.
You can overlook the skyline from the CAA Four Diamond hotel’s city-view king rooms, which feature 37-inch LCD televisions. But for a scenic view of the falls, choose a deluxe falls-view one-king room, which has floor-to-ceiling windows with inspiring views. At The Rainbow Room by Massimo Capra in the Crowne Plaza Niagara Falls – Fallsview next door, celebrity chef Massimo Capra's diligent culinary team pairs gourmet bites of fennel-scented salmon, espresso-rubbed pork chops, and roasted Ontario lamb with wine selections from the restaurant's extensive cellar. The restaurant is accessible via indoor walkway.
This deal also includes tours and tastings at two wineries, Trius Winery at Hillebrand and Peller Estates Winery. Both are located in the nearby Niagara-on-the-Lake region, well known for its ice wine. You’ll also get daily transportation for two to a number of Niagara Falls attractions, including Horseshoe Falls and casinos, on WeGo buses that run seven days a week.
Niagara Falls, Ontario: Panoramic Views of the Falls near Vegas-Style Casinos and Water Parks
At Niagara Falls—considered by many to be one of the world’s seven natural wonders—water thunders downward from a height of nearly 200 feet, crashing onto craggy boulders below. The falls straddle the border between Canada and the United States, with segments located in both New York and Ontario, but the Canadian side of the Niagara River is universally hailed as the finest vantage point to take in all three of Niagara Falls' photogenic brinks: American, Bridal Veil, and Horseshoe Falls.
The iconic Maid of the Mist has ferried raincoat-clad passengers around the base of the falls since 1846. The tours run from April through October, depending on the river's ice conditions. Year-round, Journey Behind the Falls grants a glimpse behind the curtain of Horseshoe Falls—board an elevator that descends 150 feet into the bedrock, then stand at an observation deck steps away from the cascading water.
Directly across from the Falls, the Sheraton is also adjacent to the Clifton Hill neighborhood. The resort features 20 acres of dining, attractions, and entertainment options including a variety of lounges, bars, and restaurants. It is also connected via indoor walkway to Casino Niagara, Hard Rock Café Niagara Falls, and the only Hershey Chocolate store in Canada.
