About 612 Brew
At first, 612 Brew was nothing more than a trio of friends. Robert's collection of beer recipes inspired the trio to become more than friends, however. Today, they're also brewery co-owners. Read on for some highlights about their Minneapolis headquarters:
The house beers—more than 20 in all, if you count the retired ones—range from SIX, a american pale ale with notes of biscuit and a fruity hop aroma, to the Outfit oatmeal Porter, an English–style porter brewed with oatmeal and premium malts, giving hints of toasted marshmallow and rich chocolate.
Thanks to its polished concrete floors and exposed brickwork, this taproom boasts a hip industrial vibe. However, it's got creature comforts, too, including an outdoor patio ideal for warm summer days. One of the first taprooms in Minneapolis.
On select Sundays at 11 a.m., brewery tours treat visitors to beer samples (of course) and a behind-the-scenes look at 612's steam-heated brewhouse, mirror polished fermentation tanks, and the like.
