Very nice experience and the hosts were welcoming. The kids loved getting up close to the alpacas and feeding them. The store had a variety of cute handmade products. The soap making was unique and got to take the soap home as a bonus. We will be back!

Owner was cussing in front of my children and was a bit snippy. We just fed the animals over the fence in their back yard for about 10 minutes. The inside part was interesting - how they make alpaca yarn. That part was neat. They showed us their new puppies - that was probably my kiddos favorite part. Making the soap outside was a good part too. I just wasn't too crazy about her cussing in front of my girls or being snippy to them - I mean, we drove over an hour to get there - I wanted them to have a GREAT experience.

Fun, educational, and friendly! Our daughters, ages 2 and 4 years old, loved feeding the Alpacas and donkeys. My husband learned several interesting facts and we all enjoyed learning how yarn is made. The felt soap was a very neat way to end the tour. Great for families and groups.

About A Stroka Gene-us Alpacas

Alpacas may be common in Peru, Bolivia, and Chile, but they're not nearly as common in the United States. Luckily, thanks to A Stroka Gene-us Alpacas, folks curious about alpacas won't have to travel all the way south of the border. Visitors can sign up for one-hour tours of the farm, which is home to over 30 alpacas, 1 llama, 4 great white pyrenee livestock guard dogs, ducks, and lots of chickens. Participants on the tour will hear an education talk about alpacas, watch an alpaca feeding, learn the process of turning fiber into yarn, make a wet-felted soap to take home, and interact with and take photos with an alpaca. Participants also receive a plush, alpaca-fiber stuffed animal to take home. The farm also has a store where visitors can browse and purchase alpaca products.
