About A3 Sports Academy
pIntroduction/ppFor almost 10 years AdvancED Athletic Academy (A3 Sports) has been preparing youth to have productive and meaningful lives by using sports as a means to building character and teaching important life skills. There is a seems to be fewer effective outlets offsetting the sedentary video game laden lifestyle that is so prevalent. I am confident the courses we offer add value and give parents a healthy outlet to provide incentives in other areas that children may need. /ppObjective/ppWe intend to nurture confidence, empathy and a love of physical activity in students utilizing one of the most effective forms of martial arts, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ). BJJ is a unique martial art because it teaches children to neutralize an aggressive opponent even if they are larger, stronger and more athletic. BJJ is also extremely humane, as the student will learn to control an opponent without using any violent means such as kicking, kneeing or punching. Students will learn a very clear protocol concerning when, how and to what extent to use their new skills. We prepare the kids to identify bullying, learn to become advocates, deescalate the situations and as a last resort to defend themselves without kicking or punching. /pp/p
