A recently discovered alternative to the indoors, going "outside" offers adventurous explorers exposure to things such as wind, sunshine, and the naturally occurring mazes found in corn fields. Leave the indoors with today's Groupon: for $10, you get one ticket to the "Funch 2: Son of Funch" event on Friday, September 9th, hosted by Albuquerque The Magazine (a $20 value).

"Funch 2: Son of Funch", a portmanteau of fun and lunch, invites a 21-and-older crowd to revel in the calculated chaos of an outdoor adult carnival. The event commences at 4:44 p.m. in Balloon Fiesta Park, as a plethora of nostalgic games entreat visitors to forget ages and remember the 152nd digit of pi. An inflatable joust platform pits contenders against each other with soft weapons, while dunk tanks provide an opportunity for pitching practice and forced baths. While onlookers take in eyefuls of a giant volleyball game, a gourmet hot-dog bar preps stomachs for later treats including sno cones, popcorn, and cotton candy (an additional cost). Challenge neighbors or trailing body doubles to games of tetherball or giant tricycle races, or aim for fame in a twinkie-eating contest or talent show.
