America On Wheels

The 43,000 square-foot facility of America On Wheels is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the expansive history of American transportation. Within that, 23,000 square feet are devoted entirely to exhibit space, where guests will find a variety of classic cars, racing vehicles, trucks, and motorcycles. Rotating exhibits have included topics such as classic cars of the 1930's (including a 1933 Buick), muscle cars, and trains. In addition to offering family memberships and group tours, the facility hosts rentals of its space and a museum store, as well as a classic café complete with ice cream, shakes, floats, and hot dogs.

Customer Reviews

Great place
Ken H. · April 30, 2014
They have a great facility and a small cafe. At their cafe they host parties and small wedding parties for those car fanatics. Their staff is very car savvy and know their history. Only wish they had an area dedicated solely for children that is hands on. Like a Disney Cars wing where children could go around the museum identifying the make & model of each character. But they are still a great place to go on a hot summer day. An you can enjoy a creamy milkshake once you have toured their two floors.

The tour guides around the museum are friendly, knowlegable and full of great facts, they really make the visit special. The cafe and gift shop close before the musuem does, so plan it out if you want an ice-cream or souvenir.
