- $137 for a five-day Aviation summer camp for grades 9–12 (a $274 value)
- $187 for a five-day Maker summer camp for grades 6–12 (a $374 value)
During the Aviation summer camp, students pilot flight simulators while exploring the physics of flight and the design of airplanes. Alternatively, the Maker camp addresses the process of invention, with technologies that facilitate rapid prototyping. The fully-equipped lab lets students get hands-on experience in realizing their creative concepts.
Both day camps run from June 10–14 and are held at the ASU Polytechnic campus. Aviation camps convene from 9 a.m. to noon, and Maker sessions run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
ASU CTI Summer Camps
For grade school students, a summer spent chugging soda and sunbathing can be academically detrimental, since adolescence is arguably the most key time in brain development. The faculty of the ASU College of Technology refuses to let these young minds go to pot, so they host more than 30 fun and interactive summer classes at their 600-acre polytechnic campus. During the week-long camps, students gain hands-on know-how in fields such as game design, app development, and modern entrepreneurship. Potential pilots can man the facility's airplane simulator, which hosts aviation sessions that prep students for a certain future in which birds ascend to the top of the food chain. In addition to technology-centric sessions, the Startup Academy hosts intensive, residential camps that develop capitalist intuition with opportunities for scholarships.
