The two-hour class takes place Monday—Friday at 10 a.m., 2 p.m., and 6 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. During Discover Scuba classes, a PADI professional directs students in scuba basics such as breathing underwater, the proper use of scuba equipment, as well as other basic skills and safety rules that can be applied in a full scuba certification course. Students should bring their own bathing suit and towel, but all other equipment is provided.

Blu Water Scuba

Certified PADI professionals teach introductory diving skills, where students learn scuba basics, such as becoming comfortable in scuba gear and staying calm while breathing underwater. These Discover Scuba classes are an easy introduction that cover what it takes to dive, allowing students to give scuba a try before becoming certified. In additional to full PADI certification courses, they also regularly plan excursions from their base in D.C. to explore seldom-seen, deeply submerged portions of the Atlantic. To ensure that as many people as possible can share such amazing experiences, they offer basic certification courses in open-water diving as well as in a slew of advanced underwater skills, such as rescue diving.

We took kids as a group to introduce them to scuba. It was a lot of fun. The staff was fantastic and helpful. Walked us through the activity and made us at ease. Warmer weather is recommended..
