During introductory workshops, budding paparazzi discover the significance of metrics such as aperture, iso, and shutter speed during the approximately three-hour introductory lessons. The three-week series of the approximately three-hour workshops delves further into photographic techniques by introducing students to the concepts of depth of field and white balance, as well as focal lengths. The course is designed to get students using their DSLR camera with manual settings to better control exposure. Students should bring their own digital cameras with at least 2 GB of memory, as well as pens and paper for taking notes and the section on crafting paper penholders.
