I went on a weekday and had a very relaxed experience. There are a variety of things to paint if you like freestyle or a crafted design. The employees are good resources if you want advice but didn't hover. I looked up some design ideas ahead of time on the Internet. You feel welcome to linger and talk as you paint with friends.
