Crazy Creole Cafe
Creole cuisine is what happens when you blend the best of American Indian, European, and African cuisines. Chef Guy "Crazy Creole" DuPlantier and his wife Nith know all about how to make that unique combination taste amazing: their catfish is farm-raised, their crawfish and alligator is fresh, and even their mayo comes from New Orleans' own Blue Plate. Guy's lifelong culinary passion began in his childhood, when his grandmother and the grandmothers of his community would make special Creole Sunday dinners together. Nith, hailing from Thailand, adds some fun and unexpected fusion to the dishes too, "putting the Asian in da Cajun" with her special seafood boils. The couple's personal connection to their recipes makes for crowd-pleasing food, which may be why Crazy Creole Cafe has become so popular, even making a move from its roots as a food truck to its current storefront spot.
