A Chat with David Kang’s Taekwondo Center
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
We have anti bully programs that educated children on how to deal with situations not only at school but in life as well. We create a safe, reliable, and motivating environment that sets kids up for success one kick at a time.
What’s one tip for first-time students that will make them feel like veterans?
Our staff is very friendly, supportive, and knows how scary it can be coming to class for the first time. We suggest that you bring your child in 10 minutes before their class starts. Or scheduling a one-on-one private session if they are feeling overwhelmed.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
I started taekwondo when I was 12 years old, and this has been my life ever since. I competed for USA and was even a bronze medalist at world championships in 1993. After graduating college I realized my passion for working with children and changing their lives through martial arts.
What do you love most about your job?
I have the best job in the world. I love seeing children change once they start my program and become more successful in life. By learning how to deal with bullies, families become stronger and closer because it’s an activity they can do together. It truly brings me happiness.
