$49 for a Youth Spring Soccer League ($139 Value)
During the spring soccer league, held on Saturdays beginning April 14, coaches sort kids according to age and hold drills in the sport's basic skills during 30- to 60-minute practice sessions. After each practice, athletes launch directly into 35- to 60-minute games, during which teams of five utilize their newfound skills while learning fairness, respect, and self-control. All children receive equal playing time as well as an X-treme Champions game shirt and an Aspiration Award engraved with their name. Parents receive a DVD with 15 minutes of game footage and five pictures taken by a professional photographer.
All of X-treme Champions' instructors live, die, and whistle by the Coaches' Oath—a pledge to parents that emphasizes life lessons and sportsmanship rather than cutthroat competition. As they arm kids with the skills and knowledge necessary to master sports skills, they also encourage cooperation and etiquette, making sure each player knows to curtsy before tackling an opponent. During seasonal leagues, teams practice and play games on the same day, easily fitting with parents' schedules and forging new friendships through both camaraderie and competition.
