About A Chat with Electriquette Motor Cart Company

What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? In 1915 Balboa Park had electric wicker carts for tourists and now they have returned to be enjoyed by everyone. Rental Kiosk near Reuben H Fleet museum. You can now drive a cart on the Prado and see the park in historic style. Carts available 11am-5pm daily. 16 or older to drive cart, w/ license

What was the inspiration to start or run this business? We've all seen the photos of the 1915 Panama California Exposition which gave Balboa Park its start and so many of its beautiful buildings. Electriquettes (yes, they were electric powered even then!) were one of the stars of the Exposition & we wanted to return them to the park. And they are fun!

What do you love most about your job? Balboa Park is an amazing place to be! You can park your cart in front of a museum, take your key, and go inside. Come back out and then drive down the Prado. It makes a great way to grab a lunch at one of the restaurants, without the walk. Open daily, conditions permitting.

What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer? People love the carts--the historic nature of the project, the way they drive, and the photos they take of themselves in the carts.
