Hawthorne Caballeros Drum and Bugle Corps presents the 49th Annual Drum Corps Grand Prix

One of the country's most decorated drum and bugle corps, the Hawthorne Caballeros have won nine world championships, more than a dozen national titles, and more than 40 state titles over their 66-year history. In their 49th annual grand prix, the Caballeros will compete against teams from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania for the right to display the trophy in the American Legion Post #199 and legally end any conversation by throwing down their drumsticks. Throughout the competition, they will coordinate complex rhythms and march in time while exploring the possibilities of the word "unravel": deconstructed compositions by Ravel and performances steeped in simplicity. Later, the Caballeros' alumni corps show off their stuff in non-competitive exhibition, together with other alumni and all-ages groups from the area.
