What You’ll Do
It’s hard to find a birthday card with just the right words. Luckily, the world is ripe with blank stationery just waiting to be painted with personal inscriptions. During this workshop, illustrator Liz Moorhead teaches the group how to mix and blend watercolors. Then, you hand-paint a set of six cards, complete with matching envelopes.
Liz explains the finer points of watercolors, including how to paint lettered scripts and an ombre wash
Paint Your Own Stationery
With Liz’s help, you hand-paint six personalized cards and envelopes
Liz Moorhead has been painting since she was a girl, but a few years ago she found a new canvas for her brushes. With watercolor paints, Liz started to embellish cards and other stationery with cute, whimsical designs not so different than those she used to draw on notes to her mom and Valentine’s Day cards for her classmates. Check out some of these creations at her Etsy store, Betsy Ann Paper.
