What You'll Get
- $20 for one general-admission ticket (up to $80 value)
- The Concept: Presented by Theatre of the Mind, this adaptation of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons from artistic director Safi Thomas is an immersive hip-hop dance journey brought to life by a company of skilled dancers. The result, according to Theatre of the Mind, is meant to “provoke, challenge, rile, so that you exit the aesthetic experience differently than how you entered.” The company was nominated for a Bessie Award and was also nominated for “Outstanding Production” for last year’s “Sleeping Beauty” at the same venue.
- The Music: a reinterpretation of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, a group of four violin concerti that each give a voice to one season of the year. When the piece originally premiered, Vivaldi published accompanying poems that detailed what about each season the music was intended to summon—this marked one of the earliest examples of music with a narrative element.
- Reception and Q&A Session: The performers will be available at The Dancer’s Studio for a question and answer session after the show. Additionally, guests can enjoy a Four-Seasons-themed dessert reception for all matinee performances, and a dinner reception for all evening performances catered by H+ | Gastrunamy, their culinary division.

About Theatre of the Mind
H+ | Theatre of the Mind Repertory Company employs all six foundational elements of hip-hop dance in their storytelling: popping, boogaloo, locking, rocking, breaking, and party dance. Their performers' training covers culture, anatomy, kinesiology, and anthropology. For Founder and Artistic Director Safi A. Thomas, hip-hop and dance are not just entertainment, they're the foundation of a life philosophy. "The culture feeds the music, and the music feeds the dance," he explains. This mantra becomes evident in each production, many of which have been praised for their emotive depth as much as their dazzling physicality.
