What You'll Get
Concerts, like dimly lit chandeliers, are more impressive outdoors and are more enchanting when adorned with strategically placed glow sticks. Sway to illuminating tunes with this deal to the Wavefront Music Festival’s Friday VIP viewing party at Montrose Beach. For $20, you get one ticket for general admission on Friday, June 29, at 5 p.m. (a $40 value).
The Wavefront Music Festival’s Friday night kickoff party previews the inaugural two-day beachfront festival with a tantalizing selection of electronic beats, ditties, and record spins. Among the party’s performers is New York City’s Serge Devant, whose 2009 breakout single, “Addicted,” declared love a narcotic more potent than nicotine or Doritos dust. Compared to colleagues in the EDM arts, Benoit & Sergio draw unconventional inspiration, referencing seminal bands such as Talking Heads and Pavement. Moody, danceable jams parade beside what the duo describes as “lyrics about loneliness, French girls, wine and Ferraris.” While coming of age in Detroit, Lee Curtiss found his voice behind the decks by channeling the effortless sexuality of Prince and Quincy Jones. Last year his Visionquest remix of Kiki’s “Good Voodoo” rebuilt the track’s minimalist components into an infectious house hit.
Customers who purchased our previous Wavefront Music Festival Groupon already have access to the Friday VIP viewing party, and need not purchase this one.
