Massage in New Orleans

Whether you’re a local looking for a good spa in your neighborhood or you’re a tourist who just got off a long, cramped flight, we can help you find your next massage in New Orleans. These are some of our favorite places in the city and surrounding areas:

Serenity Spa New Orleans

This New Orleans oasis once caught the eye of Ellen DeGeneres, who surprised the audience of her 12 Days of Giveaways show with a trip to New Orleans. But they didn’t just get a trip out of the deal, they got to do a bunch of quintessential New Orleans things, like get pampered at Serenity Spa. Guests here especially love the massages, saying things like:

  • “I really enjoy my massage by Macy. She was very professional and her techniques were spot on. The valet service and ticket validation made the parking less stressful since it is in a busy area. I will definitely return for another service at the Serenity Spa.” – Erika O.
  • “Great service and a great massage.” – Frank S.
  • “Clean, refreshing and an amazing staff. I will make sure to make this my go-to place everytime I travel to New Orleans. The massage I received was so relaxing that I fell asleep. I highly recommend Serenity Spa.” – Tori S.

Massage Envy

If getting regular massages sounds like it’s for you (and let’s face it, who isn’t it for?), you may want to consider a membership to Massage Envy in New Orleans. Members pay a discounted rate to get one 60-minute massage each month (or a Total Body Stretch session or facial).

Pro Tip: You should always tip a massage therapist 15%–20% of the total amount, even if you score a deal.

Woodhouse Day Spa

This Mid-City sanctuary is one of the best spas in New Orleans, a place that locals love to go when they need to unwind. And if they want to celebrate a special occasion. Woodhouse is a great spot for a couples massage, known here as a Duet massage. The massages take place in private spa rooms with two therapists and two massage tables. The therapists use Swedish massage techniques to promote relaxation and collective calm.

How Much Does a Couples Massage Cost?

For a 60-minute massage, you can expect to pay anywhere between about $80 and $150. For a longer session, you'll end up paying a little more, but you might be happy you did once you're experiencing it.

Dreamer’s Touch

At Dreamer’s Touch, Dwayne "Dreamer" McKee, a licensed massage therapist and military veteran, brings healing to bodies and souls. He treats clients to a mix of massage techniques, primarily sports, deep-tissue, and myofascial stretching. And they love him for it. He has a perfect 5-star rating on our site, with customers saying things like:

  • “Dwayne was awesome! This was not your typical massage; it was a whole body experience. From the massage and body therapy to insight on body mechanics to the intellectual and spiritual conversation after. I would 100% recommend Dwayne to friends and family. He taught me a lot about how the muscle work and causes tension so I know a little about self care after my massage.” – Lorri L.
  • “This was a great experience! He was extremely kind, professional, and experienced at his craft. I left my appointment feeling very relaxed. I will definitely book another massage here!” – Teresa A.
  • “I’ve been getting deep tissue massages for 25 years and this was the absolute best!” – Jennifer K.

Ready2Relax

At this Metairie massage spot, three therapists target aches, muscle soreness, and stress using therapeutic massage techniques. They each have at least 12 years of massage experience too, so they’ve seen everything from clients crippled by frozen necks to clients who just need help releasing the knots in their shoulders.

Ann, who also works as a personal trainer, is very well-versed in the anatomy of the human body. Trevor, meanwhile, actually developed a medical massage curriculum for the American Institute of Massage Therapy, where he taught for two years. And Rae is a licensed physical therapist assistant who specializes in rehabilitative massage work.
