Tidewater's newest golf course is also the most unique and challenging course layout in the area. A links-style treasure of 18 emerald fairways. Each hole offers a unique examination of one's golf game round after round. The course is comprised of rolling hills, undulating fairways, tiered greens, strategically positioned water hazards and bunkers. Tee to green and shot by shot, these demanding features along with elevation changes of 35 to 40 feet require many extra calculations not seen at any other Hampton Roads area golf course. After years of planning, preparation and anticipation, the Club ownership and staff expect this amazing layout to provide for a brilliant golf experience. And now...the time has come for you to encounter The Battlefield.

A great course design, The Pines winds its way through the Albemarle pine thickets and features small elevated greens, wide fairways and large chipping areas. The golf course and practice facilities have been completely renovated and feature plush bermuda fairways and excellent A1/A4 Bentgrass greens, re-built to USGA specifications. Re-designed in 2004 by Tom Clark, of Ault and Clark Associates, the championship course draws rave reviews from members and guests for its excellent condition and a fun, challenging layout. At 6,700 yards from the championship tees, The Pines challenges players to hit quality golf shots and recover around the greens when they miss. Fun for golfer's of all levels, the course offers the player many opportunities to make birdies as well as a number of challenging holes where par is a great score. The course features 4 sets of tees for players of different skills. Due to many second shots that play slightly uphill to an elevated green, The Pines generally plays slightly longer than it measures
At The Currituck Club, Rees Jones has brought to life his philosophy of golf course design - to create an environment for the game of golf that is challenging, fair and aesthetically pleasing, using as his canvas the type of land where golf began. Rees Jones produced a breathtaking layout that stretches across 6,885 yards of remarkably diverse coastal terrain, including sand dunes, wetlands, maritime forests and sound side shoreline. Our spectacular championship course was rated one of the "10 Best New Places You Can Play" by Golf magazine, and in May of 1999, Golf Digest recognized The Currituck Club as one of the "Top 25 Courses in North Carolina."
