During the class, each student learns and uses basic glass-fusing techniques to create a multicolored pendant or earring. Dichroic glass fusing results in non-reflective glass pieces with a colorful sheen from a coating that is applied during the process. The method became more popular after NASA began using it on satellites and space shuttles. Students also learn about different types of glass, plus other skills such as glass cutting and kiln firing. Classes are held daily, and include the use of studio tools.

Their wide-reaching knowledge spills over into a variety of themed classes that help students of all ages learn basic techniques and forge masterpieces of their own.
