What You'll Get
Golf obstacles parallel life challenges and reinforce conventional wisdom that the only way to escape rough patches is through excessive clubbing. Power through impediments with today’s Groupon: for $60, you get 18 holes of golf and a cart rental for four at Hedingham Golf Club (up to a $120 value).
Fairways meander like fuzzy emerald rivers through Hedingham Golf Club’s championship course, whose sculpted sand traps and bent grass greens bear the markings of internationally renowned architect David Postlethwait. Long drives fired from the course’s 18 tees seem to linger in the air forever as balls pause to admire the thickly wooded boundaries and check their dimpled reflections in the many lakes and ponds below. Foursomes of all ages and skill levels encounter copious challenges as they zip across the rolling fairways in a power cart, steering clear of water hazards and the mummies wrapped in grip tape that lurk in sandy bunkers.
The jewel of the Hedingham Community and Neuse River area, Hedingham Golf Club’s recently renovated course nuzzles beside a complete practice facility where golfers can prove their mettle before advancing to the first tee. Though not included in this Groupon, professional instructors hold clinics on the driving range and putting green for those terrified of getting lost in the course’s new bermuda greens.

About Hedingham Golf Club
Prolific course architect David Postlethwait sculpted Hedingham Golf Club's 18-hole course, artfully integrating the area's naturally undulating terrain, dense tree-lines, and rippling waterways into a seamless and scenic layout. Wooded areas loom at the edges of multiple fairways, forming natural boundaries that reach out twiggy arms to snag golf balls and plant them in the ground to one day bloom into argyle socks. Newly installed bermuda grass greens await at the end of every fairway; their smooth, slick surfaces ready to complicate putts with tricky breaks. Sequestered in the middle of the Hedingham Community near the scenic shores of the Neuse River, the club also encompasses an expansive practice facility, where players can warm up or enlist the expertise of one of the Club's resident instructors or immortal three-irons.
