About Harriet Brewing Company
The brewers at Harriet Brewing Company view beer as an art form, and each batch they create is an artistic interpretation of classic recipes. They focus on traditional European styles, particularly Belgian ales and German lagers. The operation wasn't always so global, though—in fact, like many great rock bands or the United Nations, Harriet Brewing was founded in a garage on the west side of Lake Harriet.
Both the brewery and its flagship West Side Belgian-style IPA are named as homages to its community, which has provided endless inspiration since those humble garage beginnings. Today Harriet Brewing Company makes its home in the Longfellow neighborhood, where it continues to turn out both unique and traditional beers. Its tasting room doubles as an art gallery—complete with music from vinyl records—and its taproom often hosts live bands. Guests can stop by and sip whatever's on tap, or go behind the scenes during tours held throughout the week.
