I had a set of three visits with a massage. The first one was fine. The doctor wanted me to get xrays based on what he felt and heard with my medical history. So I had to go to another place and pay out of pocket. The second visit included my massage. I liked the therapist, she didn't seem eager to gain a regular customer though when I talked about my history with massage therapy. Office worker, Natasha was always pleasant and helpful. But this second visit is what turned me off. The doctor had been friendly and must have read me as a laidback client using language not professional about some common history as I am going through a divorce. That was fine the first time, but the second time I met him and I came in from my massage and he wanted to outline a plan based on my xrays, I made it clear as a single mom I was open to it but limited on finances. His exact response was "oh, you had a groupon, you just wanted a free massage." Whatever my intentions up to that point, which were uncertain in my own mind, I was completely appalled and took his recommended treatment plan and my xrays to another chiropractor who, not only made me a better offer, but put me at ease as to my situation as a single mom with timing, appts and balance including massage.
