Ko-Ryu Ramen Grill
When chef and owner Jay bought the Golden Camel to convert it into his latest restaurant, he knew just what he was getting. For one thing, the old beloved Mongolian barbecue joint had been around for over 40 years, and for another, it was owned and operated by his father. Now known as Ko-Ryu Ramen Grill, the family affair's menu merges the traditional Mongolian barbecue offerings of his father with Jay's flair for noodles.
The eponymous ko-ryu ramen, for example, tops noodles, sprouts, and pork with a broth mixed with 1–5 drops of a hot sauce. The sauce blends spicy miso from Japan, hot-pepper paste from Korea, and habanero peppers from America. The restaurant uses an abundance of choices of vegetables and even has a special broth that is lighter than the usual tonkotsu ramen.
