The food was ok. And I didn’t like that the second I mentioned the groupon (like the instructions said to) they went from having open reservations to sorry were booked today. I had to schedule it for the next day. Some of the fish tasted a little chewy, but my other rolls were pretty good.

Great service and food. Our waiter was dealing with an extremely rude customer at another table and handled it with grace and thoughtfulness. Definitely a great place to go!

My boyfriend doesn’t even eat sushi. He usually only comes for the Sapporo and the Gyoza but he ate raw sushi! He loved the Jessica Albacore. Tachel was the beat and took great care of us. Cant wait to go back!

I had to make a reservation for dine-in due to Covid. We arrived and were seated right away. We had great service by all the staff. When I mentioned I had a Groupon, one of the staff had to check with someone because they are only allowed to accept so many Groupons per day. They said since I was spending over $50 it wouldn't be a problem. That was not an issue for us since we typically spend $50-$100 there when we go. Tip: mention that you have a Groupon when you are making a reservation or ordering takeout.

About Koisan

The chefs at Koisan take no shortcuts in creating traditional Japanese food. Just minutes from Disneyland, diners can enjoy an extensive menu of Japanese staples, from udon soup to chicken sukiyaki. There's even a daily bento box, which features a constantly changing selection of the chef's specials. But the real star of the show is the sushi selection that's split up into three sections: fresh, tempura, and baked. Read on to learn more about Koisan's rolls:

  • Fresh: The Lemon Ultimate Philadelphia features a filling of asparagus, avocado, cucumber, and cream cheese, and is topped with salmon and lemon.
  • Tempura: The Final Four includes spicy tuna, spicy crab, spicy scallops, and a spicy crunch on the inside with tuna, salmon, yellowtail, albacore, and shrimp tempura on the outside.
  • Baked: The Motoyaki roll is stuffed with crabmeat, avocado, and cucumber before it's topped with baked scallops, pink shrimp, crabmeat, mushrooms, onions, and masago.
