Micho's Lebanese Grill
There isn't much that Micho loves more than Lebanese food. In his native country, he studied the culinary arts under the tutelage of his grandfather, a revered chef. Then he decided to bring those talents to the States. At his eponymous restaurant–picked as the 2015 Washington City Paper Best Fast Casual Restaurant–the menu showcases street food that manages to be both simple and complex. The lamb-and-beef shawarma wrap, for instance, gets a punch of flavor from fresh mint leaves and a dash of color from sliced turnips. In the chicken kabob wrap, roasted chicken and french fries meld together with coleslaw and a creamy garlic paste. Vegetarians can choose from falafel or crispy-fried cauliflower wraps, which means they don't have to settle for ordering lamb and trying to transmogrify it into tofu.
