Why Nourish & Empower? I didn't grow up with the passion for mental and physical health that I now advocate for and coach women in. There are statistics that don't sit well with me... why is it that 66% of our adult population is overweight or obese? Why are there over 340 million children and adolescents ages 5-19 overweight or obese in 2016? Why is that number still growing? And why do 95% of dieters gain all their weight back following their diet plan? These statistics are terrifying, and I am here to bring light to the rising trend of body mistreatment. I used to be afraid of seemingly inevitable genetic/age related poor health conditions, but, then, I learned that although it may be the norm, but it's not actually normal. Once I connected the dots between lifestyle and disease, my world changed, my diet changed. I feel SO empowered. I know that I am in control of my body against so many health outcomes that plague Americans today. I created this blog to share my message: YOU can change your thought patterns and lifestyle just as I have. People are always asking me "how I do it". And it is simple, really.
