A golf course is a scenic sanctuary where young blades of grass receive constant grooming and grizzled grains of sand can retire far away from merciless ocean waves. Explore a relaxing landscape with today’s Groupon: for $179, you get a punch card for golf play and instruction at Reese Golf Center (up to a $1,050 value). The package includes the following:
- 10 small group golf lessons (a $75 value each)
- 10 18-hole rounds of golf (up to a $30 value each; players must pay a mandatory $8 cart fee before each round)<p>
Reese Golf Center’s 18-hole, par-72 course unfurls across 6,367 yards of scenic with bermuda grass fairways hemmed by water on multiple holes. Players can bolster their orb-blasting technique before hitting the links with a regimen of 10 golf clinics, where classes no larger than 10 pupils learn how to reliably drive, pitch, and scissor-kick balls from one of Reese’s resident aces. Swing-honing sessions will pay dividends at the course, where bunkers pepper the landscape with strategic impediments and water looms ominously at the edges of seven holes. Players loop the emerald links astride a peppy golf cart, which comes equipped with a GPS tracking system that tells golfers their precise distance from target greens and spouts off a barrage of anti-caddy propaganda. Players should call ahead to reserve both tee times and clinics, and the pass is valid through 2012.

Reese Golf Center
A 1997 George Williams design, the Reese Golf Center course gives golfers of all stripes pleasant challenges as they send shots skyward off of lush bermuda grass. Water enters play on half of the holes but only crosses the fairway on two, allowing golfers to safely attack the open fairways and leave collared life preservers at home. As players make their way around the course, they chase shots inside golf carts equipped with GPS tracking systems. These systems allow riders to see their position on the course, helping them determine the exact yardage to the flagstick.
