On this 90-minute walking tour, guides lead groups of up to 60 people on a path that imparts an impression of the city as it was in the 1800s. Beginning at Arnold’s Bar & Grill, the city’s oldest continually operating saloon where barkeeps have poured drinks since 1861—including through the Prohibition, according to legend—the tour meanders through such landmarks as the Gerke Brewery cellars. Along the way, guides narrate important historical moments, such as the Courthouse Riot of 1884.
