The staff was very friendly. The facility was not good. It was very cold, and the HVAC system was so loud in the room that we were in which made it difficult to hear the alerts that signaled a clue was about to be given. Also, you could not completely hear the clues due to the background noise, which actually defeated the whole purpose of trying to figure out how to escape. It was a disappointing experience, and only got the 3 rating due to the very nice staff.

About School of Hard Locks

After locksmith Hiram Mack made a fortune manufacturing unbreakable combination locks, he longed to give back and leave a lasting legacy. So in 1870, he established the School of Hard Locks, which instilled in children his most cherished values: ingenuity, logic, and collaboration. Children studied analytical thinking at the school for 100 years—until March 7, 1970.

On that fateful day, the whole school was out to support its baseball team when, suddenly, an unexpected total eclipse of the sun blanketed the campus in darkness. When the sun shone again, no one was to be found—students, teachers, and administrators had all vanished.

Over the years, the town whispered about what could have happened at the now-abandoned school, and teenage trespassers repeatedly broke in. If they made it out within 60 minutes, they told tales of hearing unseen students and being mysteriously locked in classrooms and offices. They only escaped by putting Hiram Mack's favored qualities into practice.

Now you too can dare to venture into the School of Hard Locks. Whether your group finds itself locked in the principal's office, the kindergarten, or another schoolroom, you must pool your ingenuity to find clues, solve puzzles, and ultimately escape.
