Since 1954, Schwartz Bakery has been a family-owned staple of Los Angeles' Jewish community, providing Kosher-certified dairy, cafe items, and catered meals. In conjunction with Circa-NY, a bakery and cafe, each of Schwartz's locations serves as a one-stop shop for every meal of the day. The bakers whip up elaborately decorated specialty cakes, which resemble the Queen of England's hats more than standard cakes to provide eye-catching centerpieces during birthdays, engagements, and jury duty reunion parties. But they also make artfully appointed day-to-day pastries, such as challah loaves, chocolate babka, and cupcakes. Their lemon merengue and pecan pies round out the bakery's extensive menu.
