The Twisted Mango
At the Twisted Mango, the menu invites guests to twist their own fattie. And it's legal, too. At the Mango, a fattie is just the Twisted Mango's term for a burrito, which diners can customize with their choice of meat as well as fresh habaneros, guacamole, black beans, and cheese. The restaurant takes a tongue-in-cheek approach to Caribbean cuisine that includes 420 jamaican jerk chicken served with street corn and "happy endings" of horchata crème brûlée. That's not to say their food shouldn't be taken seriously. Some of their more complex dishes include a whole fried red snapper with pineapple-mango sauce, and red curry pork with roasted root. The food's bold, fiery flavors almost beg to be washed down with drinks from the bar. Open until 2 a.m. several nights a week, the bar's stocked with plenty of different tequilas for margaritas as well as refreshing beers for micheladas.
